savage journey to the heart of the american dream indeed. just read fear and loathing in las vegas. if you haven't read it, i recommend it highly. it's about three things near and dear to me, ridiculously irresponsible use of dangerous drugs, gonzo journalism and of course las vegas. hunter s. thompson has an incredibly lucid fluidity about his writing. good stuff. not to mention hilarious.
