As some of my friends here know, I'm a writer of horror and dark fiction. I've had two novellas, some chapbooks and a short story collection come out before, but next week, on Tuesday, my first novel comes out.
It starts off in Turkey, where I used to live, and with an event that really happened to me. A character in the story - just like my real life friend - has an ice cream bar. An old widow comes and asks for ice cream, but he refuses her. It's his business.
The old woman freaks out, cursing him with an unimaginable, unspeakable curse. She invokes a djinn on him and his family.
In real life, nothing really happened after that, my friend was just shaken. But the book imagines what could've happened if the curse had been real.
So Seb, the main character of my book, has to help his friend find more information and, ultimately, try to break this curse.
So far, reviews for it have been great. If you like horror or adventures with dark themes, maybe you'll check it out and find out if you like it. It's only 99¢/77p for the next couple weeks, on Kindle!
