Hitting the road tomorrow. Spending two days in Georgia and then a grand tour of China. Beijing, Shanghai and somewhere in Taiwan if memory serves me correctly. Haven't been outside the states in at least 28 years.
I quit the restaurant yesterday. It was fairly uneventful and left on good terms. It had been brought to my attention that people in my business may not have been taking me seriously because I worked another job, and they might have been right. Things are finally picking up in the freelance department. I think my days of busting my ass in a restaurant are almost over.
So didn't score the job. Thought they were looking for a product photographer with web skills. In actuality, they were looking for a web nerd with some photo skills.
Glad I went though, my samples managed to possibly help me score some freelance photo work with them.

Its sometimes difficult to stay positive when you feel that horrible stuff is happening around you and to you, but things usually get better and the more you think about things in a positive way the more likely you are to have great and fulfilling experiences :-)
