hmmmm a nice hazy friday. I did a whole bunch of driving last night. The boys (www.calledtoruin.com) had a show in wonderful (and by wonderful i mean lame) town called roseville. We left san jose about 3:30 and it took us a little more than 3 hours (with WONDERFUL traffic) to get to roseville. But seriously you know a town sucks ass when everyhting is shut down by 7. we found ways to amuse ourselves until showtime at 9:30. The show was ok. kinda a wierd vibe from a couple of the guys. There are a few ego issues bouncing around right now between a couple of memebers and its starting to slide into there live preformance. thats not a good thing. I spent quite awhile talking honestly and openly with each of them about the situation. I'm not sure where this is going but I hope it ends soon one way or another. We can record with this vibe. It won't work. But, speaking of recording i got some GREAT news. On Wednsday night a couple of the guys and I went to the Trapt (who were very mediocre by the way) show @ the edge. The promoter guy from the other night works out of the edge and was in the back bar early in the evening. He continued to talk up the band and then proceeded to ask me about our upcoming recording. I told him what studio and how much i was going to be paying for it. He mentioned that the Edge had just quietly opened up a new 2 million dollar studio in Mountain view and he walked right over to the guy that runs it and asked him if he could give me the same price for the same days and he agreed. Looks like we are going form a midlevel studio to the big time studio in the blink of an eye. I just hope all this inner turmoil boils itself out. Especially because we have another show tonight in Alemeda.

I also had a little angry moment of my own last night when i was told that a certain established musician was suddenly interested in "co-producing" with me. This would basically equal me losing my job. I'm not down with that. Especially since ive put in all my time and effort to help a project a truley believe in. They won't get the same recording from him. I know this. I just hope his "star" power doesnt persuade them. All i can do is keep on doing my best i guess.
Sometimes life is crazy. but i guess thats what keeps it interesting right?
