I know everyone's got their problems. I've had my share of struggles and I know they pale in comparison to those of many. I've come close to death. I've been the victim of savage attacks and thievery. I've racked up massive medical bills in hardly any time at all. I've been arrested for victimless crime and been the victim of unknown assailants. I have had the rug swept out from under my feet almost every time I've gained a little ground. But I still know what's right. I am still able-bodied and relatively sound of mind. In spite of all the setbacks I am still the master of my fate. There is nothing to do but persevere. The love of my family and friends is insulating against the coldness of the cruel world and there is always an opportunity to do good and there is beauty enough to combat the ugliness that we can succumb to if we give up. In light of recent discouraging events, I've worked out an analogy to help me to go on and keep working toward a better life. If you're riding through the desert and your horse dies you can either die with it or you can eat it and start walking. Sometimes we just have to eat it and move on. Death is inevitable so we might as well put it off as long as possible. And as the old saying goes, whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger. In 6 months me and my girl will have a child. I'm not going anywhere but forward. Let's all try to progress.

Thanks man. And keep your chin up, things will work out. Karma will fuck that robber in the ass too, I'm sure.
