Well, for today's blog homework I thought I would tell you about my favourite charity. For me, that would be Canadian Blood Services. It's something I've done on a volunteer basis over the last eight years. I try to go every two months if I can. If I get tattooed, I have to wait at least six months. The screening process is quite strict here since those that need blood will be able to have a safe clean supply. There are a lot of dedicated people working for Canadian Blood Services keeping the blood supply in Canada safe for those that need blood. I know at first I was squeamish about doing this, but I decided to go ahead and become a donor. I try to encourage as many people as I can to volunteer with me, or if I see a clinic and posters advertising that they're in the area, I will make a point of Instagramming on my account to hopefully get me people offer an arm to these vampires. I have had some people join me. I keep doing this since in the part of Canada I live in my blood type is the second most needed in my area. I also included a video of my last visit back in March when I last donated just to give an idea what's like when I go through when I visit.

The needle is a different type of needle that's a lot different from the ones you see when you get tattooed.
