I love the way Russian girls say 'pussy'.
'Pooh-see'. I love that.
I once photographed a new model who was very pretty but very quiet and shy, she said maybe four or five words the whole day. A week later her agency asked me to shoot her again. When she showed up she said ,"you made me look so good I wanted to lick my own pooh-see". As if I would need an excuse if I had one of my own, anyways, she had my heart. We became very good friends, I could spend days writing about her, but I'll spare you, anyways, she ended up recording an outgoing message on my phone "he makes me look so good I want to lick my own pooh-see". I'd like to think everyone loved it. I got a lot of hang ups and I was never sure if it was people calling just to hear Olga say 'pooh-see' or people offended, so I just assumed it was the former. After a while she moved to New York and we lost touch.
Last night I was at a favorite watering hole, nursing a wounded heart (despite making 'being incredibly irrestible to women' my New Years resolution, apparently I'm not), feeling very shitty, when a husky voice from behind says, oh so slowly "pooh-see". Suddeny all was right with the world. I could smile again. I don't know if it was unexpectedly seeing a friend I never expected to see or just hearing that magical word, but I feel good today.
