i am back from my whirlwind one-day business trip to austin. it was a surprising day to say the least. i was offered something quite unbelievable to me and shocked myself by asking for a specific and long period of time to consider it, then shocked to have the answer come back that yes, it's cool, please take your time. further surprised to find myself bonding with the man i interviewed with over lenny bruce. i had a record that he didn't have. i met the ceo as he was walking down a hall. everyone there was so cool and hipsterish and positive. taking this job would require a move in 3 months and at least one more technical certification that would require me to dedicate every waking hour to this prospect. this is a good weekend to consider these things. i am in love. my girlfriend has a great job, loves it, and wants to stick around denton for a bit. i never imagined myself being in this position but of course it feels nice and i probably already know the answer which is i'm not going to go away without her.

last night was amazing too. when you first start seeing someone that you fall for you can spend day after day breathlessly talking and being together physically and that's the way it's been. we've both lost about 15 pounds in three weeks, so cheesy and forgetful when it comes to food. i put my hands on her waist when i hugged her last night and felt the looseness of her skirt around her hips. we were so tired last night that we just watched a mexican soap opera and went to bed and yeah...and i didn't even snore thanks to sneaking a breathe-right strip onto my nose when the lights were out. so sexy, right? haha - uh - yeah. have to keep it honest even if i reveal what a complete nerd i am.
