I am still in awe at how friendly some people on here can be...

I should probably stop sending them msgs though...otherwise I will be a pain... :S

But, yeah...thanks for being so much nicer than I would have ever expected.(and not ripping me a new one...ouchie)

I like the idea of a group for SG history, and I'll think about whether or not I want to apply for it. If I could get one group idea approved, maybe I can get another smile When I said to start a thread for people to express interest, I meant a thread completely specific to the group idea. The hall of fame thread really started off as something different, so it's not as good an example for lil_tuffy and Clara of interest.

My main concern about this idea is the fact that SG history is a finite thing. If the group were used to document the history of the site, it would end somewhere, and what would be left to talk about? It could well be that once Voltaire posts her list she's working on, there may not be much to add. The hall of fame thread might end up being all we need to satisfy our curiosity about the history. Or another thread could be started that's more specific to the history of the site.

I think we'll get the history eventually. We can keep nagging people on the boards to post their memories smile
