the rest was busier than i actually expected, but at least now the house is stocked with enough groceries to last me the week. i missed out on seeing a few people i was looking forward seeing, and a few i wasn't. just a lesson to get my shit secured before the weekend.
a quick selection of the music i've been listening to constantly throughout the weekend:
- we are scientists - with love an squalor
- george thorogood & the destroyers- anthology
- thom yorke - the eraser
- the faint - danse macabre
- captain beefheart - the spotlight kid + clear spot
- and, of course, gogol bordello
and now i have fucking "tamacun" stuck in my head.
and i have to share this with ya'll, of course:
now that a lot of my clothes are gone, i guess i should start to clean the place. if i find anythign that i no longer use, i'll be packing that up and getting rid of it. also, if i find something that i know i cherish and that i tell myself i can't live without, i'll make sure to toss that, too.
the xbox360 finally came back, and it's all fixed. the father picked up call of duty 3 today, and he said he'll get gears of war tomorrow. i'm tempted to tell him to pick up dead rising, too, but then i'd never have time for anything else.
speaking of time, will somebody please remind me to set my clocks an hour ahead? this daylight savings shit is really throwing me off. it wasn't at first, but now it's catching up with me. i can't get up until minutes before i have to leave in the morning, so my work out schedule is fucked. also, i need to stop showing up to classes late and i feel like fooling myself with cronology.
but yeah, new plan: for the next week, tuesday, thursday, saturday, first thing in the morning, it's this:
- 2 mile run with a target time of 17 minutes
- 4x15 push-ups
- 4x20 sit-ups
- 3x3 pull-ups
then next week, same days and time:
- 2 miles in 17 minutes
- 5x20 push-ups
- 5x20 sit-ups
- 3x3 pull-ups
then, everyday, at least 15 minutes swimming continuously or 30 minutes biking continuously.
if it works for the navy seals, i'm sure i'll be perfect for a navy nuke.
picked up some intro guides to pre-calc, calc, statistics, probability and trig. also picked up an introduction to wheeled vehicle maintainance, emergency first aid, and hand-to-hand/martial arts. on top of that i have to study the basic sailor things.
got the first traveling wilburys album, still looking for the highwaymen.
i finished the pack of cigarettes i had kicking around. i really shouldn't buy a new one.
i think that's enough for tonight. if you don't hear from me anytime soon, assume that i've destroyed my computer because it's an "important" possession that i can't go without using.
this is turbo, last survivor of the whatever, signing off.
Godamnit Crisp.
