Started writing last night in someone's journal and couldn't stop. Came up with this..... Comments please?
Personally I think depression is a hyped up term for a demeanor in many cases. All moods are obviously caused by something and crisis brings out the most passionate of our emotions (Not on a sexual level, you naughty thingue!). Naturally our demeanor changes when we face life's hurdles. We all get hurt and create our own little survival mechanisms. Usually unhealthy I might add. Which compounds the level of our self esteem which in an episode where one is survivng emotional trauma, is usually not that high.
Compound these issues with insecurities based on a poor family or social, or financial or whatever Mazlow could come up with as fundamental securities. You've got yourself someone who's brain becomes overloaded and simply starts breaking down. I can't understand why we don't just explain these thing to kids at school and then teach them coping mechanisms in the onset. Perhaps we could replace religious instruction with Spirituality and Life management? The best cure - Love, courage, strength and action or what I like to call The Mr Cool Effect! Sorry.... couldn't resist!
Allow yourself your ups and downs, your sads and happies. Emotions don't just come and go they are always with us. They are our souls true expression. We can manage our emotions. Seratonin is increased through exercise. Unhappy people don't feel like it! It's a vicious cycle. Identify the behaviors of a happy individual and compare them to yours. Unload all you can that causes you stress. Simply unclutter the mind of as much as you can. Eventually it will sift through all that remains and function normally again. Or at least that is my experience. Also I think the more gifted you are, the more you have to contend with. You don't use a bulldozer to pull out weeds. They are kept for the heavy stuff!
Oh and Contessa Katerina, thanks for the inspiration and chat! You are so HOT!

But now I can just agree with it and take it as one of life's lessons that I probably just needed to learn on my own anyways.
