So I went to the doctor to cure my illness. They x-rayed my lungs and gave me anti-biotics...and now I feel great. Go figure.

I had to pick a doctor from the list my medical insurance gave me. I picked one at Cedar Sinai because it is close to my house. Didn't realize that I had selected a female doctor...nothing wrong with that...just have never had a female physician (she is young too). It just sets a different tone when a woman tells you to take your clothes off.

The new patient form you have to fill out is pretty intrusive...don't know if they are all like that. It asked about every drug I've ever taken in my life...medicinal and recreational. How many people I have had sex with in my life....past year...how often. How much do you drink...what do you drink...have you ever upset anyone while drinking...have you ever done anything you regret while drinking...do you wear a seatbelt...do you ever feel depressed...has anyone in your family died from a disease...ever.

A lot of open ended questions and two inches to fill in your response...it left a lot of room for different interpretations. I live a fairly moderate and healthy lifestyle now...sure...I was busy during my teens and early twenties involving myself in big league mayhem, but who doesn't. I hope she doesn't plan my healthcare on the assumption that I'm a horny, alcoholic, drug addict that is going to die from a heart attack any second.
