So, Election Day was 4 weeks ago but I'M STILL RIDING A FUCKING HIGH OBAMA ROCKS. My family, friends and I spent hours in Grant Park but it was worth it. I feel it was history making. People around me were shaking not from the cold but rather the excitement. When the news filtered around that Barack won, the park erupted and I could feel the ground pounding thru my wheels. Later as the "President Elect" spoke and there were few dry eyes. I remembered being harassed, and a few times, beaten up as a kid by Chicago cops for simple being the "wrong color and ethnicity" in the "wrong part of town." Now, the people of the country I love have looked beyond skin tone and voted for intelligence and character. Today more then ever I'm proud to call myself an American. On the subway ride home people were genuinely happy. I broke out an old bottle of bourbon from my backpack and the folks I was with partied all the way home. Back at my house, we ordered food and a pony keg and continued celebrating in my back yard till dawn I still can't believe some of us worked the next day Election day should be a National holiday.
We expect a lot from Obama... and many, including meself, will be sadly dissappointed if he doesn't partially come thru.
BTW, I'm still having trouble with me computer. I'm managing to do what I can with what I have. I can sign-in and view a few sites before difficulties set in. Actually, most of the time I'm using my friend's laptop but I don't think she approves of my stopping in at SG. She no prude it's just that she used to be an SG member but quit 'cause she feels SG sold out to the main stream and the site is like Facebook. I can see her point, especially when she brings up that SG CSI: New York episode (it sucked pretty bad). To tell the truth, things around here have been getting a little boring and I've debated whether to renew my SG membership. Also, a very small handful of people on here have at times acted like complete dicks THIS SITE IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, so it's totally beyond me why these few assholes want to ruin a good time. But I'm still here, partially because I think the majority of the girls are hot (particularly when it comes to some of the Hopefuls, they remind me of the original SGs), but mostly I've kept my membership because of the good, if not great, people I regard as friends you know who you are.

Yay! You get a gold star now.
It's always good to hear from you. I hope you renew your membership. It would be a personal loss if you left. I feel that there are many more positive things about SG than negative ones. I hope you feel the same way.
