It is my birthday today.
I don't know if I'm going to be celebrating it. I miss the people I've left. I'd tried to use this as a method of meeting people but it doesn't seem easy. The local groups such as the B.C. one will only let you in if you attend social functions that they almost never seemed to have. The Edmonton one was just as hard. I understand the logic of not wanting to meet people with ill intentions I suppose. They want me to post more than I have to attain some legitimacy. I posted some in the beginning but I've posted on message boards for about 6 years now and most of the conversations are the same not unlike reality tv plots. It seems pointless to debate with people about any sort of art. You have to have friends to join groups but it's hard to make friends without giving better routes of communication. A large number of articles seem overly negative and sarcastic which doesn't make me want to comment about them much. I suppose I can resort to reading blogs of people in my area, commenting with the hopes of them inviting the want of comments but it somehow doesn't seem any less intrusive than reading about whatever local stuff they do in their stuck up club for jerkfaces.
Well I'm going to start my own club where I let EVERYONE in and see how you like that? Eh?? Eh?? Meeting's next Friday in the mess hall of my 1 bedroom basement suite, there will be sandwiches and coffee for all in attendance.
