Are we meant to continually fail to grasp the meaning of life? I think of myself as a reasonally competant and careful observer of events. It frustrates me not to see the link between my thoughts and the events that happen to me.
It should not be terribly complicated to figure out one's own self. In many other circumstances and tests I am able to recognize patterns over time, why not this? How much information do we really keep from ourselves?
You would expect that a focused mind would be a straight line towards one's destination but I think mine appears closer to a seismology reading, staying on track for but a moment before being directed off again.
