Well Boys and girls, things have been going pretty damn deacent lately, just getting ready to pull out of Calhoun GA right now. Going to see how far I can make it today, I have to be in Portland first thing Monday AM, and then have 2 stops in Auburn WA.
I have been doing allot of looking around at different ways to go with my life lately, I know for sure I have the goal of getting out of trucking and getting into somthing else. It has always been a half baked little fantasy of mine to get into racing cars. After my Trans AM project is done this summer, I am seriously thinking about building a 3rd or 4th gen camaro and racing it in the NASA AI series, then later on moving up to AIX.
The main difference is that AI cars have to maintain a 9:1 or greater LBS:HP/TQ ratio and AIX cars are unlimited. I could esentially run the same car with a different engine.
Doesnt it look like fun?

A special thanks to my good buddy hopefulmonster for pointing the series out to me. It isnt a for sure thing, but I am looking at the cost of it, and it is somthing I could feesably do. I think I can build the car for less than 20K Not sure how much it would cost to run the season yet, or which league I would run in, I am looking at the Texas region really hard, but due to the fact that im a trucker, all I really need is a place to keep the car near by. I wont know for sure what the plan is going to be for quite a while, but this does look very promising, and if I do well here it could lead to bigger and better things. If it doesnt work out I am still looking really hard at going to ITT.
