I'm working on the sketch for what will be (at **nearly** 27) my first tattoo...
I want it to be simple, black ink, an image (that I'm working on) with text. The text is taken from Psalm 139:
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
The imagery is drawing on those last two lines, I've got some sun ray-bursting-through-clouds for the top part of the image, with barren rocks littered with skulls for the bottom. The text will kind of weave through the two halves of the image.
I'll post the sketch when I have it done so I can get me some critiques, comments and ideas.

Well, those are with acrylic although I think I'm gonna go back to oils for my next few paintings.

A friend of mine owns his own tattoo shop. He's now 55ish. He didn't apprentice as a tattoo artist until he was in his early 40's.
