Was many years ago that I left home and came this way
I was a young man, full of hopes and dreams
But now it seems to me that all is lost and
nothing gained
Sometimes things ain't what they seem
No brave new world, no brave new world
No brave new world, no brave new world
Night and day I scan horizon, sea and sky
My spirit wanders endlessly
Until the day will dawn and friends from home
discover why
Hear me calling, rescue me
Set me free, set me free
Lost in this place, and leave no trace
Stranger in a strange land
Land of ice and snow
Trapped inside this prison
Lost and far from home
One hundred years have gone and men again
they came that way
To find the answer to the mystery
They found his body lying where it fell that day
Preserved in time for all to see
No brave new world, no brave new world
Lost in this place, and leave no trace
What became of the man that started
All are gone and their souls departed
Left me here in this place
So all alone
Stranger in a strange land
Land of ice and snow
Trapped inside this prison
Lost and far from home
What became of the man that started
All are gone and their souls departed
Left me here in this place
So all alone
Stranger in a strange land
Land of ice and snow
Trapped inside this prison
Lost and far from home
I was a young man, full of hopes and dreams

(name of song) sunset hills
climb up into bed cold dirty and wet
chasing after hurricanes, dancing like a merrionette
15 brittle fingers wrapped around the poles
choking on their neckties as they put you in the hole
piled up in the boneyards, burning like a cigarette
rise to face the music but it's written on your back
stomping through the killin' fields fillin up a blood stained sack
peel back an onion cause your running outta tears
play your cards right pops, you might just live another year,
leave behind your memories tied up on the donkey's back
and move into sunset hills, cause he's go insane without his pills
but if he did you probly couldn't tell
in the basement he keeps, his 45 ACPs
so he can grab 'em on his way to hell
they got some crazy haitian lady looking after the kids,
screamin "i'll eat your cat if you don't go to bed"
and up on the third floor, they lock up the lifts,
so you can't get down once you flip your lid
pounding out a rag on the keys in the hall
saturdays the sing-along, sunday there's a shuttle to the mall
step up on the scale and weigh against the tere
reach across the bedsheets but there ain't nobody there
rolling down the corridor banging your head against the wall
long long gone, ain't seen your face in years
the suns been digging trenches, time done took it's toll between your ears
if she could see you now she wouldn't know your voice
never sent no chariot, you aint even had a choice
chasing after hurricanes, dancing on the graves of your fears
on up there at sunset hills, they got some time to kill, so he killed em all and left em in the dust
burnt down the record room, drove home drunk, pulled into the river with his lawyer in the trunk
etc...
hanging from a wooden chair, screaming for help,
lookin in the mirror trying to find yourself, allright
biting on an orderly, singing a song, baby bet you never thought it'd last this long
countin the ceramic tiles, on your back, g'on prayin for a heart attack
wooooooooooooooo oooo ooo ooooooo oo ooo
dogs they's a growlin,
don't nobody know what for
dead, they's a risin'
draggin their chains across the floor
heaven, she's a cryin',
puttin out all the fires below
reachin' down with lightnin'
bringin home all the righteous souls
devil plays a violin,
he could fiddle his way right out a hole
saints left us all alone
what we gonna do now, nobody knows
on a blackout sun, that tide gonna come, lookin for blood on your front door
don't care if you're first born, or second born.. well this might be the end
but what it look like ain't never been told
feel like i'm floating when that tide cuts me open
the saints they's a ramblin home
done left us all alone, what we gonna do now nobody know
