ahh, the exquisite pain. i got the first few hours into my backpiece. man did i miss the feeling of tatoo aftercare. after three years, it really seemed time to start back up, and after an aborted attempt to continue my coverage, i realized one thing. the right tattooist is as important as the right doctor or massage therapist, or therapist for that matter. i got lucky and found the right artist the first time out, but it's taken many years and many mistakes to accept that.
i count myself very lucky in this regard.

call me up, sweet mama, and we'll go steppin' out
and we'll go honky tonkin', honey baby
we'll go honky tonkin' 'round this town"
