i signed a band! i'm not sure it was the best idea i've ever had given the amount of work i (don't have time for), but they're so good i just had to do it! i wanted to for ages but now i've got the distribution in place for it we're releasing the record on june 15th on CD in the UK/import and worldwide on itunes and other digital people! it's super exciting even if i have just made more work for myself that i can possibly handle hahah. good job i knocked back the tour managing jobs i was gonna do this month or i'd be actually dead right now (though boo hoo to not going on the ...trail of dead tour, as that would've been amazing!)
so i've spent most of today running around giving copies of the album to some fancy london magazines that i love and bigshot festival people... even with the double espresso i had at the last mag, i'm pretty wiped now! probably that's more from the fact that i spent last night down in brighton with poppy (my wee baby goddaughter) though. we built castles and dragons (well, i did really. she shouted orders from the couch), ate ice lollies and strawberries, and watched button moon. she wouldn't let me leave this morning and it was SO sweet but i managed to distract her with a finding nemo DVD and make it back to london almost on time. she's just so adorable
ANYWAY. 3 year old hipsters aside.. i'm gonna get dinner with my friend who is providing valuble radio advice for the release (mexican, thai or american. i can't decide) and then home as 'the times' want more photos off me which is nice, and i've got way too much call of duty to catch up on. i've been neglecting my poor xbox and i feel just terrible about it.
oh oh! i never said which band it was... so if you wanna listen to something AMAZING then go to their myspace over hre. they're called viva machine, in case you care.
