i was up all night last night.
it's an everyday thing trying to accept the fact that hitting the big time with art is like winning the lottery. chances are its just not gonna happen. and whether it does or not is beyond anyone's control. if you dont have the right influences, teachers, or if you're not in the right place at the right time then thats it. You loose.
The only thing to do is to find some other reason to keep slugging away at it. That way, if you die alone and unappreciated in a ditch itll be with a big crooked grin frozen on your face. and when they find you theyll all wonder What the hell did this dead fucker have to smile about.
"hitting it big time" = just getting to draw something that i can be proud of and not doing bulshit design all day long.
need new job

An artist continues to struggle for the satisfaction of doing what one MUST do, for your own personal satisfaction, and if others can appreciate it--that's just an added bonus.
I really liked the 2nd drawing in your pics folder, of the dude with fingers for legs and an arm--it's creepy, but cartoony, in a super swell Mike Allred sort of way.
