sheesh, I've neglected my journal for far too long. That's partly because I've been busy, but also because life has been fairly routine for the past few weeks.
All is well on the relationship front.
No major familial trauma to report, except that my Stepfather is taking my mother back to court again over custody of my sister (she's 9, and I adore her). It sucks that she's still being jerked around over this, but it's not surprising. They have been engaged (or rather, he keeps coming after her) in an ongoing series of legal battles over the past four years. So this is more or less par for their course.
Have been reconnecting with some old friends lately, especially J and MWH. They threw a rather bleated birthday party for me, (damn near a month after my birthday), which gave me a forum to see and chat up some people I haven't seen in quite a while.
Made a wee video about the San Diego/Mexico border crossing area (have been learning to use Final Cut Pro, which makes me want a Mac in the worst way). Worked on this with two of my classmates, which reminded me of how difficult it can be to do something collaboratively. We all shot together and then went off to edit separately. Didn't see the final cut until we showed it to the class. This process made watching the video suspenseful for the three of us. I don't think anyone else was quite as excited about it.
OK, that's all for now. Will try to update more frequently in the quasi near future.
