Talking to sugarjones last night inspired me to start organizing and posting some of my older graphic endeavours. You can check them out in the "my pics" area. Hopefully I'll add more as time goes by...
First up is a self portrait series called "portrait of the artist as a lung gland". I did this about eight years ago, when I was just learning how to photoshop stuff (before photoshop was a verb). Around that time, I had been doing some graphic design for web development at privateI, the ISP my best friend crispy founded (which was later acquired by a slightly bigger fish in the ISP pond).
Anyway, this was roughly near the beginning of my obsession with scalable, tileable backgrounds. I started turning photos and paintings into images suitable for use with the html tag "background". I was mirroring and flipping all kinds of things so they would seamlessly repeat. The kelaidescopic nature of the results ended up having a BIG influence on my digital sense of asthetic.

I also love picture #1 in your mememememe folder.
Diggin' on the photos! Current faves: smiling b, photo b, and of course cheesy backdrop (sharky shark) b!
