Went to an "art happening" last night and saw a few bands. Overall not very inspiring, with one BIG exception - a cat out of Oakland named Stevie Harris. He was amazing.
The show was at a club called Montage. I've known about it forever, but last night was the first time I went. Just about *everyone* there looked hipper than I did. Not that I particularly care about looking cool anymore (now that I'm old), but it always catches me off gaurd when I'm reminded of just how disconnected from fashion I am. Wearing garters, fishnet stockings, AND a foam mesh trucker hat, good lord, when did this happen?
Maybe I should pierce my forehead or tattoo my nose so I have some vestige of counterculture visibly apparent.
