Opeth was fucking awesome..their live show sounds very close to their recorded stuff which is great considering Red's isn't know for its great sound quality. Dark Tranquility were cool but their sound sucked..it was shitty that they were the first band to play because I'm sure they would have sounded better if they played later on in the night. The vocalist was quite cheery and talkative, always smiling. He seemed quite happy to be playing which was a refreshing change from most bands out there. My only complaint was that the his singing was kind of off with the rest of the band. This is unfortunate because I really like them, then again it could have been the sound guy's fault.
Devildriver on the other hand sucked..I just don't like them. I did however like th fact that they tried to get people moshing properly instead of doing the stupid hardcore ninja kicking and other silliness.
The only other low point of the concert was merch prices. 40 bucks for a shirt is ridiculous..They had the Still Life one there for sale which I picked up at a music store in McMurray for $25..then again what do you expect at a concert. I just wished they had hats..I'll always buy concert hats..I get lots of wear from them and they are usually 30 bucks or less.
Stay crunchy..

Opeth are exceotional live... a bit too similar to their record sounds at times but hell they put their all into it and Mike is an exceptional frontman.
Devildriver have always been a dissapointment they were just tepid when I saw them a couple of years ago supporting In Flames (I know I'm sad but I still like them:p)
Merch Prices are always a bitch, wort example I can think of was a dutch band called Prejudice who were charging 15 a sirt and they were the opening act... every other band (Deeds of Flesh, Hate Etrnal and Dying Fetus) was charging 10 a shirt...
Glad you had fun, theres nothing like a good gig
