Forgive me father for I have not blogged in 10 months...
Quite a lot happened since my last rambling: got married, moved house, bought land in the Okavango Delta, stopped smoking again, did about 5 bike rallies and I am sure there are about 30 other things that I have forgotten about!
Raquel decided that she would get married to me and so we did! Had a nice Spanish wedding with great food, no speeches and about 60 liters of wine. Now, 7 months later, I am even more in love with her and can't think of any time in my life that I have been happier...
I became a Botswana Landowner! I bought a piece of land in the Moremi reserve ( also known as the Okavango Delta ) The Boro river will be the water feature in my front garden and lions and elephants will ( are!) cavorting in my back garden... The plan is to build a lodge and entertain Europeans and Americans with game drives, camping safari's and Adventure! Special prices for Suicide Girls...
What else? The Rallies... Did a tour through Swaziland, a tour through Mozambique and the Africa bike week on the Natal South Coast.
So... in short, my life is great!
EDIT: It's not always that great... The Financial Crunch is being inked in flowing banner font all over my ass... The uncertainty of the whole thing freaks me. Imagine looking back in two years time and then think - Luxery!
Perish the thought!
I've got 4 kids to put through school!
We are planning a week's breakaway to the Kalahari.
It is going to be an amazing trip!
to give you an idea: Botswana Park
It does rather look like moaning with a chifon cake under the arm, doesn't it?
But.
But remember that it costs only $ 650.00 for four adults, all included.
That's it, finish, 5000.00 bucks for diesel, fee's, food...everything!
I need a break, Raquel is square eyed and dreaming in Genero ( I think that's what it's called...) and since God is found in nature and we should keep on searching., that is what we are going to do.
I must say this: my wife is a joy!
