I just saw a special on the War of 1812. Which, as we all know, actually went on until about 1815.
Anyway, one of the craziest bits was when the Brits were storming Washington DC and burning all the government buildings (in retaliation for us invading Canada, but that's neither here nor there).
Just as they were marching toward the city, then on to Baltimore, to, effectively, bring the US back under British rule, a huge hurricane hit.
Since it was back in the day before double doppler and insurance, they got the shit kicked out of them. Then, as that went on, a big tornado touched down.
Long story short, the British army was forced to retreat as thousands of them had been killed, marching out in the open, by, what was the definition of Act of God. Thus, the United States of America, under God, was allowed to carry on.
Without caring what your actual religious beliefs are, I'm certain most, if not all, of you can easily find a similar (or more personal) example. Something so interesting that it would be hard pressed to fall into random chance.
I'm not asking for your conversion or opinions on religion.
All I want is for you to tell me that story.

Though I only occasionally believe in a higher power, I think a lot of what we do and a lot of what happens to us is leading us to something. Maybe not a "life's path" so much, but everything happens for a reason. I can't think of a specific example at the moment, but I'm an awful storyteller anyway.

Yeah, leave me when you find something better to do. They all do, it's fine. *sniffle*
