Alright, I have to rant about the site a little. I was going to go off about how little I care about Florida and how much federal tax money is being given as a reward for retards to rebuilding the same shitty homes in a frequent hurricane zone... but something's been nagging me for a while:
The SG New feature sucks.
I think it was put into place to cut down on multiple threads. I think. But, holy crap, is there some useless shit surrounded by somebody's dumb-ass opinion about it, topped off with an incorrect, misleading, attempt to be funny, passed off as a headline.
Maybe it's because the word 'News' is used. It's bad enough watching mainstream newscasts and their scare tactics, slanted language, and misplaced priorities (it took hundreds of Russian school kids to die before our media gave a shit what was happening over there and that was only the second or third story; behind fucking hurricane who-gives-a-fuck turning into a catagory 3 snooze fest in gator land).
Then, I come here, where I used to like to dive into threads and start threads about cool things I found on CNN and share... and find some numbskull started a thread on the same thing so he can spout some ill-researched political opinion or bash someone.
And what the hell's with being able to edit your own stories? I've submitted several stories (2, maybe), only to have that same story appear hours or a day later, written by whoever the editor is of the topic group. Biased anyone?
Maybe it is only semantics.
Maybe 'News' really means 'new thread' and 'editor' really means 'someone that gets to have their threads started on the front page'... oh, and 'headline' means 'unhelpful, unfunny, and inaccurate summary'.
I get enough of that on TV. I'd rather have real news or occassional multiple threads rather than what we have now. But, that's me.
Now, this is the part where I say how much I like the site overall, because we've been trained to balance good with bad in case we hurt someone's feelings. Fuck that. I'm paying dues, I'm filling out journals, I'm chatting with folks and wasting my valuable sleep time looking at titties.
You figure out whether I like the site or not.

You're still here, obviously you don't dislike the site that much.
