What in evolution set up the idea to not learn from our mistakes? Or is that a product of civilization. Is that another way we've bred natural selection out of the equation?
How many times has someone stepped across the street in front of your car, when there is a half mile space right behind you? How many news stories can we run about Presidential war records, when another million people 'slip' into poverty?
I just finished a book that pretty much says the only reason we do things are for self and family. Also, that a lot of the things we identify with modern civilization (government and law, for example) were around long before they were called that.
And, more importantly, that people are better at taking care of things when they are invested in them. In other words, government regulations, a lot of times, do more harm than good.
Today I wanted into my Credit Union, which I hadn't been to in a while, and they had installed that ceiling high thick plastic security glass. It didn't make me feel safer. It made me want to not go there anymore.

... that's about as authentic as it gets.
And I'm alternately sickened and drooling from your comment. Puss...pie...puss...pie.... I'm so confused.
I do love a man that can cook though.
