So, how about them pictures.. These are from wednesday afternoon, before the sky turned gray and rained on us today. Although, the sky looks gray in the pictures. What the fuck. Pretend it's blue.
Looking out to the lighthouse from the path that will eventually take me to the beach. Those waves are about 6-8 feet tall, probably bigger. I'm a small person, so..no swimming. I'd be dead already. It's too bad the camera made them look so small, though.
Looking the other way. That's the waste treatment center. The round thing is holding tons of shit, probably even some of mine.. I have to walk right next to that fence for a long time to get to the beach. Atleast it doesn't smell..
I guess this shows the waves a bit better? That black line going through the center of the page is actually what we get to walk on to get all the way out to the lighthouse. It gets narrower until there is nothing on either side of you, and you got a 6 foot wide slab of conrete to walk on. Don't worry, should you fall in, there are rocks you can climb out on. And then metal ladders built into the concrete where the rocks aren't.
On my walk, looking ahead towards the beach. Lovely. It's so..far..away..
Finally arriving. Now to start the long walk. It had gotten a bit chilly out.
Walking alone the shore, looking out. Never go fishing when there are whitecaps. Waves like those will overturn my fathers boat.
And sometimes, the wave would come over the little sand ridge, and quickly come down the other side, making me run backwards as fast as I can without tripping or dropping the camera to save my pants from getting wet. That water is quite speedy.
Like the caption says, "Everytime I went to the beach, I collected bagfulls of these. I had hoped to make myself a pretty necklace one day." I never figured out how to drill holes without them cracking into pieces, and I only pick up one or two these days.. But I like them still, anyway. Anyone know how you drill holes in these suckers?
I once showed pictures looking down the cliffs; this and the next are looking up, Probably not in the same exact location, but it stretches onward with the beach.
Beware of mudslides, luckily the mud has been washed away so I was walking on sand. They don't look steep, but trust me, they are, and are probably 75-100+ feet high. They make me feel small when looking up.
A bone I found lying on the beach. I brought it home with me, and now it sits in my room on a napkin. Anyone know what kind of bone it is? Don't be like my mother and say that someone probably had a cookout, and threw the bones into the water, and this is probably a chicken leg, cleaned up and washed onto shore.. I thought maybe it was someones collarbone..
Hi guys. I like to watch my dvds on the computer, and sit on the floor, the carpet has more cushion than this cushioned chair. Don't mind the complete dumbass look. No, that is not my bed.
If there are more pictures, I'm forgetting them. Plus I had to be choosy about which ones I showed of the beach, I took too damn many. How do I know? This is how I know:
Um.. Someone tell me if that's bad? I guess this thing can't handle too many pictures at once..
This is just hilarious, everytime I look at it. Poor cherub.. I actually loved to look at it and think.. Now, I look at it and laugh.. My mother is repainting her bedroom (yes, I know, she did in january/february), and she had her full-length mirror set out in the dining room, with hardwood floor. She accidentally bumped it while looking for something on the table, it fell, got the angel to go down with it.. Mirror shattered into tiny little pieces and the cherub lost its head. Now it has a use for that..sack or whatever it's carrying, I guess.. The head still fits back into place, and stays up, but then there's a huge hole in it's neck where it's missing a third piece, accidentally swept up with the mirror pices, so..it can't be repaired..
I hope you all enjoyed that. Continuing on in other news, we closed at 3 today because of rain. I came home, and..fell asleep until a bit before 7. I've been here since. My stomach still aches a little, but I'm feeling better. Now I have to go proofread this.
