Whew. Worked a little over sixty hours this week. That's about average, but the type of work was a lot different. We got contracted to install wireless access points in four local campuses--89 APs in all, either clipped to the rails of drop ceilings or mounted on walls. Lugging fifty or sixty pounds of tools and equipment up and down stairs, humping up and down ladders, bracing myself thirty feet in the air so I could push a dull drill bit into some kind of crazy super-hard cement that ate my normal drill bits for breakfast (I ended up having to borrow an industrial hammer drill from a construction crew). My dogs, they are a-barking--there are visible knots in my calf muscles.
I shouldn't complain, though. As a result of this week, we might break five figures this month alone, and the various companies for whom we performed the work are very, very happy--we apparently saved them six figures, and it seems likely that we'll be their first choice for similar work in the future.
