So Flux and everyone else were right, given the choice between the sci-fi channel version, and the David Lynch version of Dune, the sci-fi channel version is WAY better! I finally found a place near me that had it on DVD, and my VHS problem was solved. Also checked out Lost in Translation, which was a VERY refreshing movie! I now understand why Bill Murray was nominated for an Oscar, he was really good in that movie! So was the actress that played opposite him, but most of all, I thought Sophia Coppola did an EXCELLENT job of working with all the actors and the script. Did she also write the movie? In any event it was awesome, and I highly recommend it, just be patient with it, it's not like other movies, it won't offend you by reaching out and smacking you in the face with it's thesis, the moment you sit down with it. And speaking of theses, time to get back to mine! Early nineteeth century world history anyone?
