Funny how things change so quickly in the life of a cute lil sailorboy from the Motor City. Not just 24 hours ago, I was scheduled to be in Annapolis by now. As the world has turned, I'm now hopping in a car and headed to the airport, where I will be departing for; not Annapolis, but rather, NYC, where I have a nice 6...

happy belated b-day
So I'm headed to Annapolis after my last final tomorrow. Kinda excited. Can't wait for some of the spicy crab dip from Riordan's. It'll also be good to get back into the swing of things with racing one-design boats. Should be 60+ boats there, but I have no ambition of even finishing in the top 10. I'm just a hired gun on a crappy boat...

I've never been on a sailboat, but I LOOOOVE being on the water. I miss living in Alpena. There's so much water in town that you can take a boat anywhere, sort of like Venice. I'm most at-home on the water.
Are you aware you share a birthday with Shakespeare?

4 more days till I'm done with school for the semester! Wish I was more excited about this, but now that I'm so close to the end, I kinda just want to keep going until I'm done! I've got a pretty cool summer job though: going back out on the road with a Grand Prix boat. Should be fun I guess: St. Maarten for 2...

You really really really should rent the first three seasons. It will explain so much, even if you don't think it needs explaining.

Plus, they're GOOD.
Just got the results back from my 20 page term paper: A motherfucking minus!!!!! Thank god! I spent like almost two weeks of my life on that god damn paper, glad to see it wasn't all in vain!
On a completely different note, finally checked out Luna last night. It was pretty fucking cool, just like Kira, said it would be. Awesome music, (been...

Ended up at Smalls for a beer on Friday night, didn't even bother finding out if anyone was playing in the back room, just hung out with my buddy Ryan who was working that night, then hit the Double Olive in GP. (close to home, less likelihood of worrying about the whole drunk driving thing). 10 more days, and school's DONE for the semester!!!!!

What is this Lee Marvin you speak of.

OK, so I'm like the biggest loser I know. It's 10 o'clock on Friday night, I finished my 20 page term paper, my sober month is over, and I'm sittin here designing a website on Frontpage, rather than hangin with the boys. No more bullshitting about it, I'm gettin the fuck outta here. Where to go though? Alvins, or Smalls? Hmmmm . . .
vudugrl:
so where'd you end up going?
shewulf:
Nah you dont seem like a loser to me....of course friday i'm usually out....my fiance and I go out to eat and a movie every friday.....anyways so where did you end up going?

So Flux and everyone else were right, given the choice between the sci-fi channel version, and the David Lynch version of Dune, the sci-fi channel version is WAY better! I finally found a place near me that had it on DVD, and my VHS problem was solved. Also checked out Lost in Translation, which was a VERY refreshing movie! I now understand why Bill Murray...

Yeah, so I got one of those VCR/DVD combo things for Christmas last year, and Lately it has been chewing up all my VHS tapes, but it's weird, it doesn't actually chew them up like all the way, it just like puts this funny wrinkle in the top edge of the tape, which throws the tracking off just enough that you can't quite see or...

You're welcome. That was the best concert I have ever attended!
So here I am, just kinda hanging out writing a mid-term paper, when my phone rings: "Dude, the Blokart nationals are a bust in Nevada. We lost our sponser, and there aren't enough guys with their own money to foot the bill themselves." So much for my trip out there. Still scheduled to fly down to Antigua for my birthday, and race week down there...

Yeah, so I almost forgot to update my stupid stunt for the month of March. Truth be told, this is something I do every year, for one random month out of the year: I quit drinking! It's really just an exercise in self-discipline, but also gives me a little insight into social situations which you might not always pick up on if you're just "going...

Be wary of the ice--it's sharp stuff. Voice of experience here.
Well, I say "talentless" because I despise the White Stripes. To me, every single song has the same pedantic tone. Grates on my nerves.
That said, I was the sober voice of reason to my drunken buddies in college. Then I figured I'd be one of them. Oops...overdid it one time (got a free ride in a white van with red & blue flashing lights though!) in 2001, so now I'm back to being the sober voice of reason. But now I double-down on the blackmail. Heh heh heh.
"You know what you guys did last night?"
*hungover buddy* "Don't tell me, please..."

Totally screwed this week. Lost my bar shifts, and don't see much hope of gettin them back. Too many people there with too much seniority. Did get asked to come down to Stoney Creek and work there though. It's amazing how fast news travels in this town. Within like a day of having my shifts cut, the phone rings and it's my buddy saying he...
