A few years ago I met the girl of my dreams. At the time she was pushing a stroller and came into my skate shop every few weeks or so on a Saturday morning. So cute but obviously involved.
A few years later I met a gilr at a party who seemed so innocent and genuine that I couldn't help but be intrigued. But we had to have her ex-boyfriend leave the party and I came to realize that she might not be somone who'd be ready to date again.
Not too long after that I met this girl at the Dirty Drummer who talked about her plans to be Audrey Hepburn for Halloween. She looks the part and is one of the cutest girls I've ever met. Unfortunately I wa dating a horribly careless bitch of a woman at the time, so once again I did nothing.
Nearly a year later I was in Tucson helping my best friend Joey move and I somehow managed to convince him to go to the SG burlesque show. While there I met a girl who not only snuck us to the front of the line, but also helped me squeak past chocolate sauce. The next day I got to drive her back from Tucson in my car with no ac. Joey rode in the back and when we got back to his house his dad saw the girls shirt that read "I love nerds," and asked if I was the nerd. I dodged the question, but not long after I was that nerd. But I never saw the shirt again.
Long story short, it was always the same girl. I ran from it so many times, but after I finally gave up... I came to see that she was the one.
Lots of hard times, lots of great times, but I can never imagine being with anyone else. I thought I'd been in love a few times, but I had no idea what that word meant till I met her... numerous times.
