What is prayer without thought?
We sit, kneel, lay and pour ourselves out like a fifth of bourbon
Putting ourselves in the hands of something most of us will never understand
We write it all down and put it up to the moist ear of another
Then buried in layers of insanity
A moment of freedom lingers
While we lace ourselves up for the track
Many of us never stop
Running for freedom
But just becoming more and more part of the pattern
React instead of respond
Comfort over pain
Another temporary solution
To drown ourselves even further
Just so we can say
I'm the victim.

I like that poem. It's very good. Who wrote it? Please tell me...
