so i have the whole week off work, but i didn't want to. our ceo had this idea to pad our company's earnings by forcing all non-customer critical employees to take this week off, using our own saved pto. i know some people might be saying, "oh, yeah, i feel sorry for you, you get a whole week off work asshole", but i earned that damned pto and wanted to take it when i felt like it. now i'm home, by myself with my wife at work all week. we work at the same company, but she is customer critical. so now we have to take seperate vacations and i get to do nothing. i'm a bit pissed off about it, but i plan to make the most of it. i have a bunch of school reading i need to catch up on and i can get some honey dos done around the house.
on another note, my band lost our drummer. we were forced to fire him, but he more or less quit. he bailed on our halloween show at the last minute, (like 3 hours before we were supposed to be there) and he missed the next practice without so much as a phone call. so, our lead guitar player has moved to the drums temporarily. we have a show this friday in sutter creek ca at the annex. we've been practicing as a power trio for the past three weeks and sound surprisingly good. we are actually thinking of making this our permanent line up with maybe the addition of a keyboard player. we'll see what happens. we're rather stoaked though.
