Just a quick personal history...
I graduated High School in 2004 and then studied my basics at New Mexico State University for 1.5 years. The last summer I was there, I took part in one of those door to door student aid salesman jobs, slinging books to people in the boonies of Muncie, Indiana. Although, I did do training in Nashville, TN and that city is pretty amazing! After a very brief career as a creepy salesman, I headed back to school one last semester before moving on to Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX.
Lubbock has the worst drivers in the world. Of this, I am completely convinced. I find myself lucky to survive it. I studied Advertising and got my BA in Mass Communications in 5 short combined college years. Following graduation in December 2009, I moved on over to Denver, CO.
I absolutely loved it there, even though it was one of the coldest winters I had ever known. It's a different kind of cold, though. Hard to explain. Anyway, when the student loans came in I found myself having to move back with the 'ol parents in Artesia, NM until I got my feet on the ground again. I just recently bought a house and am doing IT work, getting paid the big bucks! I hope with a couple more years of experience in this field, I'll be marketable enough to hopefully transition back to Denver eventually.
