Not only are the poison slime pipes flowing again.... But i figured out how to blog again. To be fair i haven't really tried really hard after the website change.
So.... a lot has happened since... well a lot has happened. I can't really remember the last time i blogged or what i blogged about... so let's go back about... a year. I had a job working for the largest producer of aftermarket printer toner in the world. As everyone knows... that shit is stupid expensive, and yet i got bullshit pay for what my job was. I was the shift lead for swingshift; essentially it was my job to make sure that all of our production lines and machinery stayed up and running at all times, while running a large portion of our two 24 hour production lines. It was a lot of work, and sometimes it got a little overwhelming. But that's how production jobs are, and i got over that pretty quick, after all i was really good at my job and usually managed to keep the proverbial world from ending.
The bit of it that really sucked was how bad that shit has got to be for your health. My first job there, before i was a lead, was as the mill operator. So it was my job to ensure that the toner was coming out in small enough particles. Most typically 7-8.5 microns in diameter... only slightly larger than your average bacterium. So as some of you might imagine... it got into the air and traveled pretty easily. The post additives we added to get the formula for each different product we made was the same, super lightweight powder. Some of these actually had warnings on the packaging pointing out the carcinogenic effects, and to fight this they gave us lightweight paper masks. It wasn't until about a week and a half after i quit that i stopped seeing black shit whenever i blew my nose. So i probably have cancer now. Fun.
Anyway, i decided enough was enough. If they were going to kill me i might as well be getting better pay and benefits, but after all they weren't about to roll with that. So i quit. And in the spirit of change i moved to Twin Falls, ID. RANDOM! Right?! Not really. I've got friends and family here in Twin. So that's fun.
This is just a pit stop for me anyway. I don't know where i'm going yet, but i need something more adventurous in my life than the same pathetic 8-12 hour grind everyday to serve a meager existence that isn't bringing me any actual joy or contentment.
