Hello, how are you? Today I want to talk about one of my favorite books, because I have several, but another time I will tell you about the other books. This is a saga and I mainly chose it as one of my favorite books because it definitely marked my life and generated an absolute fanaticism. That's why I'm going to tell you how I became a fan of the Harry Potter literary saga by Jk Rowling.
It all started when I was nine years old and in my school where I studied they taught the subject of religion (I do not know if in all schools in the world is like this, but here in Chile there are many religious schools, mainly Catholic) The thing is that my religion teacher took a leave of absence because she was sick, Consequently a replacement teacher had to arrive and that teacher was not of the subject of religion, so he did not know what to talk about in class because of that he had to improvise clearly, which came up with the brilliant idea of talking about a book that he was reading, this book was nothing more and nothing less than "Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone". In the course of the class he told us part of the book, the whole class was mesmerized by the fascinating story of this boy wizard. Personal comment I find it very ironic that a teacher told us about a book of a boy who is a wizard and is related to a whole world of witchcraft in religion class, it was quite shocking hahahahahahah. At the end of the class I was very intrigued with the story of Harry, I approached the teacher and asked him for the book, he did not hesitate to lend it to me, when I got home I read it without stopping I gave it back to him and definitely Harry Potter marked my childhood to such a depth that I was so fascinated and glimpsed with what I read, I remember that at that time it was only written up to the fourth book "The Goblet of Fire" so I grew up with the anxiety of waiting for the following books in the following years and I automatically became a fan.
With respect to my favorite book of the saga are two "The Prisoner of Azkaban" and "The Half-Blood Prince" and this time I chose "The Half-Blood Prince" I like this book quite a lot because everything becomes darker and you begin to sense that the end is near, On the other hand, it narrates practically the whole life of Tom Riddle or better known as Lord Voldemort, things about his family, his mother, how he arrived at the orphanage, his life at Hogwarts and what happened to him after leaving the school to become the most feared wizard, the unmentionable one. I was quite surprised that the author gave us that treasure inside the saga, when I started reading this book I never imagined that we would undress the villain of the saga, this is by far what I like the most, all those dark secrets and the answers of why Harry had to face the dark lord is why I love this book of the saga.
"The few who agreed to talk told me that Riddle is haunted by his origins. That's understandable, of course, since he had gone there. He apparently searched in vain for a trace of Tom Riddle Sr. in trophy room plaques, prefect lists in the school archives, and even in the history books of the magical community. Eventually, he was forced to accept that his father had never set foot at Hogwarts. I believe it was then that he finally abandoned his surname, adopted the identity of Lord Voldemort..." (Rowling, 339)
It is always good to understand the darkness and the reasons why certain characters decide to be in the shadows, everything has a reason and an origin, no one has so much rage and pride for nothing else, darkness has to exist for the light to emerge, darkness and light have to exist to make the balance in existence.
If you have the opportunity read this beautiful saga, it is an exciting journey.
I love you and have a nice weekend.
