If there's one thing i have the perfect knack for, it's picking the wrong time to do things. When i take the day off to go to a ballgame, it rains. When i meet a girl, she's just gotten engaged. When I decide to remodel my room, it's the hottest fucking week of the summer. Sad thing is, all of these last two items have happened to me in the last couple weeks.
Anyway, the room is nearing completion, once the new couch gets here (and the bed frame too, but that's not really holding me up from doing other things). I swear i've lost ten pounds in sweat alone this week.
On the female front, there's this writer that i know through my editor. We've gotten drunk together on a number of occasions, the last time only two weeks ago. We even got more than a little comfortable with each other in a photobooth at some bar in Queens (I still have the photos sitting around on my desk)... and then, three days later, shes engaged! Yeah, color me surprised...
In gadget news, I just picked myself up my first digital SLR camera and I've been messing around with it for the last couple days, walking around brooklyn. If there's anyone out there willing to let me test my new camera out on them (clothed; this isn't for SG sets, just for me to get used to the digital thing), let me know...
