Today was one of those days where upon returning home from work my shoulders got heavy. Sometimes I feel like a glorified maid, which I know sounds terrible and I feel terrible for thinking it considering how bad my past three roomies were about their cleaning habbits. However, I spend five hours yesterday doing just as many loads of laundry, mopping the floor, doing the dishes, going through the closest to find the clothes I don't wear anymore and FINALLY washing the beadspread and changing the sheets.
I was so proud how much cleaning I had accomplished. I got home today and the place was trashed, almost (but not quite) to the point of looking like I hadn't done a thing yesterday. Granted the place got messier last night after we got home for dinner and I didn't clean up all of it, but I swear there is a ghost who likes to make me clean up after him or her.
BAHHH! Frustrating.
On another note, I made a KILLER beer-battered chicken monday night for Nic, and this morning for work. Nic's version had New Castle in it and today's lunch version was Leinenkugel. I liked the Leinenkugel version better, it didn't have as much bite to it and it tasted great with mustard. I know tonight I have to cook the steaks in the 'fridge but I'm thinking about doing mashed potatoes with garlic and maybe grean beans as a side? I must admit that I do like it when I open and Nic closes, because I get to cook. He never lets me cook if we are both home or if I close, and if I don't say so myself, I'm a damned good little chef. I may not know how to make that much stuff bit what I can do I do well...and that doesn't just apply in the kitchen. Buwahahahaha.
