oh man,
Its been really crazy lately. I wish I could get online and say that I have been too busy to be online because of awesome stuff... unfortunately it is the opposite. I have not been enjoying myself since the last time I was on here. For starters I had to euthanize one of my ferrets. He got really sick and we have been trying and trying to medicate him and get him better unfortunately we didh't have a shit ton of money either and if we went to surgery to do an exploratory to see if we could figure out what was going on I don't think he would have made it. So that was my labor day weekend. Not so fun. It was really rough. He was kinda an asshole ferret but he was still MY asshole ferret...sigh..
Then that following thursday I went to the park with my dogs and one of my dogs "zero" decided it was a good idea to drink lake water and eat goose poop and he has been sick ever since... So its going on 2 weeks now!!! I have tried so many meds and have hospitalized him twice and he won't eat. We have gotten his vomitting to stop and I think his diarrhea is better (probably cause he isn't eating and had nothing to poop out!). I did bloodwork on him and he was showing kidney problems, so after a weekend on IV fluids his bloodwork looked better and he was happy, so I naturally took him home. Well by the next day he was back to not eating again. After repeat bloodwork his kidney values were elevated again! then another weekend of fluids and he was ok again. Now we are back to the not eating and lethargy. I have done a lot of tests and I can't figure out what's going on. I'm on one of the last ideas the doctors have had which is an even more board spectrum antibiotic in case he got some really nasty bacteria, and a med for parasites in case the tests I've run have not shown/missed any. Sigh. He's my baby and I'm so worried about him. Its not him at all to not eat, and not be jumping all over the place barking and running around. He's only three! I'm just hoping he will start perking up and I won't have to hospitalize him again!
Sat was my day off and I didn't want to do anything. I decided I was not going to move my ass at all from my chair...haha I ended up playing "zelda:twightlight princess" for NINE HOURS! ok ok I know I'm a dork... hehe
