Ok, so I have been out of comision for a while since I had a little accident with a bus. Yeah.
I got on the bus home from work and I had a lot of bags. I needed to get my bus pass out, so I put my bags down and asked the driver to hold on one second. He started the bus anyway, yadda yadda. The whole thing ended with me on the floor with a very dislocated, and very twisted knee cap. It took a long time for the ambulance to get there, and by the time they did I was passing out from the pain and the cold (they were putting snow on me, and keeping the doors open to try to keep me awake, and lesten the pain). The next two days involved hypothermic blankets, IV's, lots of drugs, ex rays, anesthetics, having my knee popped back into place, doctors apointments, learning to use crutches, booking physio etc. etc.
Basicaly, I hurt. A lot. My casty thing stays on for the next two weeks, then I start my physio, and we will see from there. The physio should take about a month before I can really start walking again. 'Till I am doing fairly well on my crutches...but am finding the sitting on my ass and doing nothing thing really hard. In fact it is driving me crazy
.
So I have asked all my friends to come visit me, and keep me busy, and hopefully I will be able to still go out now and then as long as I have a ride, and a helping hand.
Stangely enough the really hard things, are the small stuff around the house. Like trying to brush my teeth...and sponge bathing all by yourself. The new rule should be that if in your life you ever need a sponge bath, their should always be a really hot helper with you
.
