i have my good friend from back home in so cal up in chitown for the next week . hes an excellent metal worker and i have hired him to help me construct the kiln of my dreams. Since i was 18 ive wanted to paint with molten glass. we will be constructing a large fusing kiln. the interior kiln dimensions are 9' x 5' x 14" . ill be able to melt 4' x8' sheet glass as my canvas. a second kiln we are building is a vitrigraph kiln. this kiln is only a 1' box that is suspended 6.5' in the air. it has a hole in the bottom so when it reaches temperatures glass will start melting out the bottom and i will be able to manipulate it into the shape i want b4 the glass cools. It will allow me to draw shapes with the glass !!!!

I am rather elated about this. Its a great feeling when the dreams from almost a decade ago finally come to fruition!!!!!!!!
