Well. I've been in BC for a week and a half now. Been spending a lot less time on the computer than I used to, and a lot more money than I should.
Not all that much has happened. I've been content going up and down Commercial Drive to get a coffee, check out the shops, had a bit of sushi.
I helped on one of my sister's friend's Crazy 8's movies. About a posessed ATM machine or something. It looks hilarious, but seems to be written like a bad porno.
I was an extra for the most part. Which was bad because it took place in a night club and I do not look like I belong in a club like that.
Though I was pleased with my performance as one of the guys in the back of the club, jealous of the ATM machine. Pretty awesome stuff.
Yeah we were there from 1:00pm to 2:30am.
A few days later, there was some gigantic kegger that was apparently funded by SFU and took place at our house.
I had a bit of trouble mingling with some of the crowd but there were a lot of obnoxious first years there and my sleep scheduel was all messed up so I was kind of grumpy. Hardly optimal party mode.
All my junk is here, I get my room at the end of the month and I can't wait ot set up my shop.
I want to finish my copper rose sooooo badly.
Checked out the army surplus store today. Fun bunch of guys. I plan on dropping of a resume soon.
I have been spending more than I should be. I'll be down to $2000 after I pay for rent and pay off the bit I put on my credit card.
I'm still in good shape then, but a job sure would make me feel better.
Today we wandered all over town. Went down to the art school to check out my current room mate's... Sculpture I guess you'd call it? It's kind of a hologram of him on an exercise bike.
Really trippy. Were trying to think up how he's going to do the next one on the walk to find a pub...
I have not had a good beer since I got here, short of the Steamwhistle I picked up from this one beer store that takes a little while on the bus and costs $30 for 12, and the Anarchy Ale which is a little too intense to drink regularly.
I might revert entirely back to cider. I'm going to make it my party drink again, but if I don't find a good, every day beer soon, I'm gonna freak.
Haven't hit any of the fishing stores yet, haven't even been to a proper beach yet.
My friend from Sask is driving in tomorrow. It'll be good to see her.
I need to make some friends here though. We'll see. Gotta get more buddy buddy with the army surplus crowd.
Mmmmk, been drinking a bit. Not totally coherant, not sure this all makes sense. Gonna go crash. I am Le'tired.
