So the jewelry supply order wasn't so bad. I'm spending $200. Things weren't as bad as I had added up in my head in my rush to get to the hospital to visit my friend who's having her gall bladder taken out (Supposedly she's out today)
She had a stone bigger than most of the pearls we sell. She wants me to set it in a pendent for her.
The loup was $50. But! It's probably the best loup I'll ever need. It's like looking through the microscope at work. and so much easier to adjust.
The bezel mandrel was the other expensive thing. But that's fine. I can now to a hell of alot more work at home than I could before. Hooraaaay for horrible acids that turn silver black!
I went nuts with the engraving machine the other day. Engraved my initials on my loup and my leatherman in an 'old english' text. Better than a label maker!
Then we went to the work christmas party which completely forgot about. This was the first party I had ever been to where I felt I mingled better with the kids than I did the adults.
When I was 8 I was always over with the grown ups drinking tea and talking about who knows what. But I remember them being very serious conversations.
Now it was all kinds of adult stuff. Stock markets, religion. How the jews run the city, the mayor is putting all the good stuff down town next to his properties.
Meanwhile none of them actually live in the city. They all live in the suburbs.
Anyway, I hung out with the kiddies. It was fun.
Today was not a happy work day. A guy wanted an engraving done on a locket he just bought from us. I spaced it out wrong and the last name was squshed right up under another name. The metal was too thin to polish it out and reengrave it. So i ended up having to make a gold plate to engrave and set in the back, but it was loose in there when it left my hands. They're gonna try to spot weld it. I'm dissapointed in myself, but I think it's behind me now,
Been crazy busy. I don't want to go in tomorrow.
I haven't pretended to call in sick since I started working at loblaws and they wanted me in every day. But when mom asked me if I wanted to, I seriously considered it. But I won't.
Did some christmas shopping the other day. Somehow managed to spend $300 in the last week and I'm not done yet. Meh, it's christmas.
Went in to get a pssport photo for my gun licence while looking for one of my sister's presants. I look like a total thug.
I had decided this was one of the three free days I've had all month. I'll wear my hair down, put on my cammo pants, my belly-vest and my leather jacket and go be Davey.
Tied the hair back for the photo though, still look like a thug. Was joking about it with the clerk at the camera store.
Stopped into the camping store on the way to the mall to look for a nice new therma-rest for winter camping. The girl there reccomended the Women's model because it has extra butt and foot warmth. I think she's sold me on it.
She was pretty cute too. Might go back in after christmas and get it. Mebby try to chat her up, see if I can get her in on the camping trip, then provide her with some extra butt-warmth..... Shut up, Corvus3!! I've seen you shamelessly cut and paste entire LJ entries into your SG blog. THAT'S ONE SCENTENCE!
She kinda reminded me of Sonya Blade from the mortal kombat movie... The first one. The good one!
If not for that, and the fact that she knows products from expirience. I probably wouldn't be interested at first glance. But she may be respectable.
See, Don't missunderstand me. I am sexist in that I don't like traditional girly girls, and more than likely do not respect them. But, I hold onto the belief that they can have more malnly traits and therefor be respectable....

I found out I had a bit more money in my savings account than I had expected. Almost enough to put down both first and last month's rent myself for the apartment I looked at!. I've got an application. I just need two free minutes to fill out my half of the info. I hope we get it.
Also need some free time to fill out my firearms licence application.
About 10 lee enfields popped up on Firearms canada..
Think I might still hold out for the moisin. But now I want a 1902!
I should get to bed. Just was Casino Royale tonight. Pretty fucking awesome. The theme song just gives me shivers, I love it.
Guh! Should sleep now. Weekend so far away. Hope I have enough money to last me. I should.
