Nothing special's really happened latly.
I'm getting sick of the jewelry story I work at and their demented way of running it. Too many broken promises about pay raises and paid trips into toronto to meet the rest of the team.
My boss taking credit for things I've made as simple as they might be.
The final straw was on friday. Someone came in with two tumbles amethysts he wanted turned into pendants.
The owner took them in, said we were going to do wirewraps and handed them to me.
I've never done a wire wrap, I don't like them. I also didn't know she had told the guy we'd have them for saturday.
I put them in the box with the rest of the store work and my boss hands them back to me later that day. I said I've never done a wire wrap. She says it's easy gives me no other instruction other than the vague idea I already had of what it should look like.
So I do it. They look horrid. I'm not even sure the stones are going to stay in there. The owner was happy with them and we're charging him $35 a pop!
$35 for what was essentialy me practicing. I didn't have enough wire to practice more than I did. I wanted to throw up.
So the next day I run out with resumes. I applied to two places. I'm optimistic about the one because the smith was out of town and he had someone filling in for him. Which leads me to believe he does not have a assistant.
I've heard alot about this guy. I had initialy contacted him about training about four years ago when he was just setting up his studio, but he never got back to me.
I've come a long way since so I hope he's willing to take me on.
The other one was kind of scary. She threw me completely off my game every time I talked to her like I was being interrogated.
So I heard from the firearms instructor. It's going to cost me about $200 to take the course and exams. I forgot to ask if that included the cost of the licence it's self which would be another $80.
I really really want to get this licence.
Going to a range and shooting is an activity I think I'd really enjoy. But I''m looking at my initial cost of getting started at $500+ when I want to buy a house by december.
I went to the one mortgage place. They weren't much help. The longest they have is a ten year mortgage and he didn't discuss any of the opions I've been told might be available to me. So my mom's gonna talk to her guy because they do twentyfive year motrgages. I'm still hopeful. But damnit I want me guns. Stupid canada.
Maybe I'll move to the states.
We'll see waht the other mortgage guy says. if I don't need to put a down payment on it then I can get my guns. I'm still wary about my job, but hell, I'll work long hours at minimum wage somewhere I like if I've gotta. I still need to get out and do something hopefully social....
Top two places I'd hope to find a girl. Airsoft game and fireing range. My kinda girls.
My buddy came over last night and we watched V for vendetta. he hadn't seen it before. It was my first time since I bought the DVD the first day it came out.
I was going to watch it with my friends last week. But I wasn't in a good mood because apparently the plan was for people to come over at noon, when I had just woke up. So I let them watch it. I spent the day doing other things.
Ok, well it's gonna be a lazy sunday me thinks. Supposed to go fishing later. Gonna laze about and watch movies or something till then.
