Mmm today was... Kind of a happy day... I don't know why...
The mall was busy. it was a PA day. it was pretty slow in our shop.
I had some work to do, and it was actually pretty fun. Kind of hard to explain but I had to pound out some puter on the top of a horses head charm and carve it some new ears because the origionals had been melted off...
Yeah..
I made another piece of jewelry for my friend and intended on taking a picture of it there in the good spotlights then give it to her that night. But I stupidly forgot my memorey stick in my reader.
Turns out she didn't work there that night anyway. Though she might have been at her other job in the mall. I want to get a picture of it for my portfolio though. so I'll give it to her next week.. Just a rough shard of lapis that I smoothed down and made a simple bezel around it... I won't take any artistic credit for it as it's the most simple bezel setting there is. But I can say I did it and that's more than alot of the kids applying to that shcool can say.
Near the end of my shift this adorable little boy and his mother walk in. I'm not sure where the accent was from. it could have been russian.. One of those cold European countries. Anyway... The boy wanted ring with a nice big stone on it.
He had just been to the geology department at the university. He was totaly into rocks right now. Had a nice big piece of tigereye.
I suggested she join the lapidary club because it's only $15 for a family membership.
I got his ring size.. He said 4 and a half was the perfect size.
They went down to one of the silver kiosks in the mall to find something for him.
It was just kind of heartwarming.
I hope I see them at the club sometime. I want to make him a ring.
When I was done I decided to get a waffle cone at Ben and Jerry's. That cute boyish girl I always used to see on the bus works there now... She served me. It made me happy.
But then, lonely bus ride home was kinda depressing. Came back and brushed my kitty for a while. I think he feels neglected. Gonna play with him a bit on the weekend.
Nunno what I'ma do now... The creative spark is an ember now.. But I think I want to use it to make clothing all the sudden. I want to finaly redo my matrix coat, maybe even do a red one. And I want to make a more wearable outfit like my elf costume. What with the belly wrap and the blousy open long thing. I am so keeping that red netting shirt...
Meh. Tomorrow after lapidary club I'll go down to the art supply place to get the stuff for my portfolio and duck into fabricland so see what kinda stuff they have.
I have a new mystery friend too! Hello Mystery friend.
One of the ones that I got right after I posted my last set finaly said something too me. After I commented on her journal.. Now I have to scan the front page of the newspaper I made for not pulling a snake out of a TV, for her.
Yay... Enomine makes me feel like a god sometimes... It's cold and lonely being a god...

I'm still trying to make msn messenger work with me. It's been a butthead and saying I'm not connected to the Internet ... (when clearly I am. How else would I be leaving you comments?)
