To all of my Catholic friends, I am sorry for your loss. Of all the men who have held that office, John Paul II was perhaps the finest individual who placed people's needs at the forefront of his mission. As a man who grew up struggling against oppression, he was deeply involved in freeing others from all kinds of oppression. He cared for people more than any of his predecessors. He will be missed.

omg... that message made me laugh till I was in tears... "can you hear me now?"... I watch developmentally disabled people that have to be watched 24 hours a day... if I leave them unattended it's considered abandonment.

As a matter of fact, I asked him if he could get someone to cover my midnight to 8a shift today (asked on Monday) and he immediately said "yeah, I'll find someone to, you need a break" before I even told him why. Haha. BUT the guy that he had cover it (he worked the 4-12 shift so he just had to stay an extra 8) started calling people and telling them that I didnt show up for my shift and that he needed someone to come in. I ALMOST went in because I had taken off to go get my car but ended up not being able to today... but then I was irritated that I covered his 24 and he was bitching about an 8. Madness I say!!!! hahaha ;-)
