Just spent waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long waiting in line at the BMV (or DMV, depending on where in the country you are from). Luckily, Louisville has nice ones with benches and chairs and whatnot. Cincinnati actually makes you stand in line for hours, in these lanes like they are herding cattle. Anyway...
I waited till the last possible day to renew my tags. It's nice that you don't actually have to get it done on your birthday, as long as you get it done in your birth month. I can remember the pain in the ass it was in Cincy having to make sure that I got it done on or by my birthday. Procrastination is fun
I'm exhausted. I have been unable to get more than like 5 hours of sleep a night for the past week.(I think I'm averaging like 4 a night) Just one thing after another prevents that. I'm either so busy I'm up late, or I have some commitment in the morning so I have to be up early. I need a break....come summer, come quickly.
I have decided, based on the poor midterm grades, that my classes finals I am going to make a wee bit easier - multiple guess, fill in the blank, and short answer. The midterms were essay and I have found a good majority of the students have trouble speaking, let alone putting thoughts down on paper....sigh
So, the nice guy that I am, I'm going to allow them the chance to bring up the grade, or at least cancel it out. I just need my supervisor to approve the tests. But that ought not be a problem.
I've discovered something really cool - streaming audio radio channels off the internet. Yeah yeah, I know, these are nothing new, but I had never messed around with them before. There are some nice stations out there that play the stuff I like, not all the crap that I can't stand on the over-the-air channels. Anyway, I know I'm a nerd, but so what?

I can REALLY relate to the busy thing...today was my first day off in 17 straight, and I did nothing...needed the down time, just to try to get my head back in the game.
It truly amazes me that the vast majority of kids today don't seem to grasp how important their education is...besides the all encompassing party on campus. I grant you I went to school with Aristotle, but we at least gave a damn and didn't feel grades were our due just cause we paid to be there. These are the people who'll be taking care of me in my dottering old age...next week.
Unfortunately, summer for me is the busy season, so it has lost some of it's lustre...although I can't wait to see scantily-clad young ladies come through drive-thru
Listening to music you like on the radio??? What are you, a radical??!!
Later, Z
